Sahar Qasimi

About Sahar:

Sahar Qasimi is a junior undergraduate student at the University of Houston pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Biochemistry. Sahar is passionate about learning the neurological development of the human mind and believes it can make her a better doctor. She is on the Pre-Med track, working towards becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. Sahar has volunteered at Memorial Hermann, working in different departments. She has worked with kids of all ages and in various settings, volunteering at schools and at Night to Shine, a prom for individuals with disabilities, and in community service that supports different types of development in kids. She has been familiar with the different ways a child cognitively develops through familial experience, which has grown her interest in the cognitive development of infants. Aside from working and academics, Sahar spends her time reading, spending time with family and friends.
