About Dillan:

Dillan Jackson is a Senior at the University of Houston, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology with a concentration in Health and Medicine. She has a strong interest in clinical neuroscience and child cognitive psychology, specifically how early cognitive and neurological development influences long term psychological outcomes. Additionally, Dillan has a strong interest in equity in health care and mental health access, specifically, how systemic inequalities affect mental health outcomes, child development, and equity when it comes to healthcare access. Dillan’s minor in Sociology with a concentration in Health and Medicine complements her Psychology focus as it provides deeper understanding of how a plethora of social factors impact and shape individual and community health outcomes. Dillan is currently continuing her work as an undergraduate research assistant and is very excited to continue gaining hands-on experience with psychological research methods and data analysis. She is also involved in the Houston Neuropsychology Science Society, which keeps her engaged with current research trends and others in the field. Dillan also has a lot of experience with working with children, especially in the child development stage, and is passionate about understanding how early life experiences shape cognitive and emotional health. Outside of school, Dillan enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is always eager to learn new things, both academically and personally.
