Our Mission

We study how children behave; how they pay attention and how they speak. We want to understand how the physiological and social systems within and around infants work together to support their development. We use cutting edge data science, computer vision, and computational techniques to examine and piece apart these developing systems in real time.

We want to pinpoint specific ways in which caregivers can best support their child's thinking and growth and determine early markers to help children get help earlier. Our ultimate goal is to use this information to help children from all backgrounds thrive.

Our Values

We strive for a healthy scientific culture that supports researchers from all backgrounds. We aim to foster high-impact science that is open, generalizable, and reproducible. We promote outreach to the communities we recruit from. Our research is currently funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
